Kahe'e was a war chief who was known for his loyalty, discipline, and fearlessness in battle. He was small in stature, but he had a strong personality and was highly protective of King Kaumuali'i. It seems that he was well-respected and valued by the king and other members of the royal court.Kahe'e was 14 when Kamehameha tried to invade Kaua'i in 1796, A young warrior in the within the resistance although the attack was unsuccessful.
