Plantation partially owned by Lihu`e Plantation in 1876 with mill belonging to GN Wilcox from Glasgow, Scotland for Grove Farm that was having problems with milling contract with LP. Solved before machinery arrived, so Hanamaulu plantation was set up independent on LP lands with Albert Spencer Wilcox mgr. Eventually turned back over to Lihu`e. Note in Lihu`e plantation that mill train went to Lihu`e mill. Factory burned down, rest of buildings used as repair shop buildings thereafter – called Hanamaulu Shop. Buildings still there 2009.
