Emmalani Makepa-Foley is a lāʻau lapaʻau practitioner born and raised on the island of Kaua‘i. She studied under her kumu, Levon Ohai, on Oʻahu and has spent many years practicing and sharing Hawaiian medicine, Hawaiian language, and ʻIke Hawaiʻi within the community.
Now returned home to Kaua‘i, she carries this ʻike with deep respect, knowing it is a continuation of the wisdom entrusted to her by her kūpuna and kumu.
It is her joy to share the healing strengths and benefits of Hawai‘i’s plants with you.
