Volunteers
Volunteers are the lifeblood of every non-profit organization and here at the Kaua'i Museum, we are blessed with a diverse core of volunteers that assist our staff in manning the front desk, helping with sales in the gift shop, providing critical man-power during our major events and assisting with archival materials and collections. Part-time island residents are welcome to become part of our extended volunteer 'ohana (family).

Docents
Docent training at the Kaua'i Museum is an exciting and valuable learning experience. Docents participate in the interpretive tours, which are free with admission, and are given on Tuesday-Friday at 10:30 am. Ongoing training, with leading Hawaiian experts, focuses on Kaua'i's history, language and the museum's permanent collection. Enrichment classes and lectures are available throughout the year, so if you have a love of Hawaiiana, enjoy meeting people and can commit to a minimum of two hours per week, please contact Chacha Kaluahine at (808) 245-6931 ext. 23.
