8th Annual Happy`s Keiki la lei contest
Each child must be registered by a parent with a completed and signed official entry form on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Kauai Museum back entrance parking area starting at 9:00 am. Children are able to create their own lei in a supervised area of the museum. Once a child is finished they are accompanied back to their parent outside at the registration area.
A. Only natural plant materials may be used; limited to flowers, leaves, stems, roots, and fruits.
B. Use of endangered plants, mokihana or maile is prohibited and will be disqualified.
C. Leis must be made in one of the following Hawaiian methods (see application).
D. Neck lei must be 30 inches long. Lei must be wearable.
E. Hat lei must be between 22 inches and 24 inches. Lei must be wearable.
Contest judges decision is final. Prizes will be awarded at the discretion of the judges at 11:00am Award Ceremony.
All Keiki lei entries will be displayed for viewing at 11:00am-11: 30 am.
